Meet Professor Gill Dobbie, our 2021 Seed Project Fund Assessment Panel Chair
We are excited to Welcome Professor Gill Dobbie to Chair our Assessment Panel for the 2021 Kaupapa kākano Seed project fund. All eligible proposals will be reviewed by the Assessment Panel which will include both science/technical and Vision Mātauranga (VM) experts.
Based at the University of Auckland and the Director of the Auckland ICT Graduate School, Professor Dobbie brings a wealth of experience in a broad range of physical sciences and engineering areas. Her research interests span big data, data stream mining, keyword queries, data management and software engineering. Her research has been applied in domains from health to the environment.
She is on the Governance Board of the Precision Driven Health Joint Research Partnership, chairs the Science Advisory Panel for Plant and Food and the Science Advisory Committee for PlantTech. Currently she is Deputy Chair of the Marsden Fund Council of the New Zealand Royal Society and convenes the Mathematical and Information Sciences panel.
